If anything it may collate and present existing information. I believe that over time the inaccuracy or outright fabrication of facts will be mitigated and AI will become usable as a research tool, but even then it will only work with our pre-existing knowledge.

I'm afraid that over time the convenience of these chat bots will dumb-down our creativity, curiosity, and imagination. We'll just keep regurgitating the past.
