Oh so true! That’s my everyday struggle. Customers and even our sales often come to us that they need something very specific, for example, convert their app to serverless. Just like that, without having a clear idea what they are actually talking about. They are always surprised that instead of asking some technical questions I start by asking them to take a few steps back and explain what *business outcome* they are hoping to achieve. Tell me what you want to achieve and I will tell you how we can do it.

BTW I love your posts and your no-BS take on the work life. I haven’t found another author that so much resonates with me. Sometimes I’m told off for being cynical or for challenging the koolaid they’re all drinking and I’m glad there’s at least one more person like that. Keep it up :)
