* Have you got Service Limits increased for GPU instance types? If not then you can't mine. The limits are per-region - you can only mine in the regions where you have Spot and/or On-demand limits raised for G and P instances.

* If you do have Service Limits set up but still can't mine try a different region.

* Don't restrict the instance types in the template parameters, use "*"

* Check the Auto-Scaling Group and its Activity tab - it may give you some insight why it's failing.
